Our Shop Policies

WE are cash only

Both of our locations are currently cash only. We do accept certified bank checks for deposits (see info below) in case you cannot travel to us to leave your deposit, but all other payments must be made with cash.
We do not accept credit cards, Venmo, Paypal, or ANY other payment methods. Cash only.

Deposits

We always require a deposit to schedule a tattoo, and all deposits are non-refundable, no exceptions.
Your deposit will come off of the price of your tattoo (it comes off of the final session if it doesn't get done in one sitting, it will just roll over to each next appointment).
You will lose your deposit if you reschedule two or more times, no-call no-show, or cancel completely. If you do need to cancel or reschedule, please give your artist as much notice as possible. Even if it is your first reschedule, giving the artist less than 48 hours notice will also result in the loss of your deposit.
These policies may change slightly from artist to artist, so it's a good idea to go over this when you make your appointment.

The amount required for a deposit varies, but your artist will tell you how much they require for a deposit when you are making your appointment.

We are CASH ONLY so deposits must be left in person. We also accept certified bank checks (NOT personal checks) mailed to us. If you choose to use this method, please confirm the details BEFORE sending a deposit.

We do not get paid if we are not tattooing, and last minute cancellations and reschedules make it hard to fill the spot with someone else. Taking deposits and sticking to this policy ensures that our artists can still be paid.

You must be at least 18 to get tattooed

None of the artists here at Rapture Tattoo Emporium will tattoo anyone under the age of 18. We are aware that it is legal to get tattooed with parental consent after the age of 16, but for professional and personal reasons we do not tattoo minors.

Do not bring a group with you

We ask that you do not bring a group of people with you when you get tattooed. We simply do not have the space for a lot of people in each room, and it can be distracting and stressful for a tattoo artist to focus on what they're doing with a group of people around. We all want to do the best we possibly can on your tattoo, and this does not make for the kind of environment we need to do so. You are welcome to bring one or two people with you, but we ask that you do not bring more than that.

Please be kind

We do our best to run a professional business, and to treat our clients and customers with respect, kindness, and understanding. We always appreciate it when people treat us the same. If any of us feel uncomfortable, that we are being disrepected, or that we are just generally being treated poorly, we reserve the right to refuse your business or discontinue working with you on our own terms. While we are here to provide a service, and to do it the best that we can, it does not give you the right to treat any of us poorly.

do not enter our business under the influence of drugs or alcohol

We will not allow anyone to get tattooed while under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or to enter the shop at all. Tattoo shops should be safe, sterile, and comfortable environments for the tattooers and clients. Having someone who is not in a right or level state of mind can seriously disrupt those things, for obvious reasons.

Children must be supervised

While we do generally prefer that children are not brought into the shop, we have no problem with it if they are well behaved. We do understand sometimes you do not have another option, and would not want anyone to have to reschedule their appointment if this is the case. We just simply ask that you make sure that your child is not running around the shop, making a bunch of noise, or just being generally disruptive.
